"Motorcycles? Horseless Carriages? Hah! They are not trained for border patrol, especially one as pourus as this!"
Most of the guns and explosives still get in, though a few unwary chinese operatives are caught. If questioned they know nothing, they are just mules unaware of what they were carying. The assaults go ahead as planned.

the entire border will be monitored and 200.000 more will be devoted to this.

Are you forming an entrenched military line? You know how long that takes? Not quite a millitary trench, Foxholes, fences and barbed wire.

The Japanese goverment suggests that the Afgahns must do something about smuggling of weapons into Japanese territory. Or we will be forced to shut down the border completly.

We might be willing to negotiate a trade treaty that deals with the exportation of weapons. However Japan would have to halt it's aggressive economic expansion in China first. It is a danger to both the Afghan economy and the world markets. I will make the details known in a more formal manner.

After making the fences the workers return to their farm jobs but the soldiers will start making fortifications with the help of Japanese engineers that do have earthmovers and stuff like that. After 3 houres of digging they will engage in a 1 hour firing exercise and then rest for an hour and then continue to dig for another three houres.

In Yunnan province China 5 Automobile factories and 8 motor cycle factories are in construction. These all make diffrent parts and are close to each other. These will be defended by some 50 75mm flak cannons. and have a fence arround them and 500 guards (not manning flak).
The cars produced in Japan are a litle more expensive, but altough still cheap, and the Japanese can afford more anyway. So a steady production of T fords and motorcycles are hitting the streets, The effects of this is that the goverment will be forced to buy up houses for millions of Yen so decent streets can be created in the cities.
