God, I Wiskey A Go-GO huh so I'll guess i'll start and see how much of a fool I can make of myself (Thats the point of the thread right)
Arguments 1
1. Transport Ships are small and slow and cannot move more then 50 miles because they are jammed pack full of men and cannot carry much fuel. This meaning they have to stop and refuel after some time. They are only good for short distances because the men in them have a tendency to get sick and throw up. This making them exausted, smelly and making moral low.

Now you do know that landing craft back then weren't motor powered. They were rowed by men. There was no Higgins boat back then. no LCVP or anything. But I do agree that landing troops that are rowed more then 50 miles would be filled with troops who are deadly tired and sick.

You're right so they couldn't storm a beach after that kind of rowing.

When Britain and France attacked Turkey, they had a form of Higgins boat, which the ANZAC forces used to land. However, there was only one door at the front, big enough for one person. Needless to say when they came out the door they were easy pickings.
