Speech from the Emperor:
"The people of Japan, Barbarians are invading us, we must all prepare in unity. Spend a hour per day making our defensives better, let your kids skip school and tell them to start making punji sticks, bamboo is aviable for free as long as you return it as punji sticks. tell your sons and daughters to sign up for the Partisan force. they will serve as logistical persoell, helping the effort by running with mortar rounds. and also making them from scratch after instructions that will be given out on request."
(Making VC like mortar rounds, hand tools are sufficient to make those)
smart Japanese kids come to school, but there is not a teacher in the class room but a Engineer, supervising 3 classes.
Partisan weaponary:
a Mortar:
Stick Granade: (carpetners are making sticks (easy) the children get inner parts from the supervisor.) Booby trap: Timed Pipebombs: (not that fancy clocks, old clocks and batteries to ignite or just by wire) Rifle round trap: Losses: 72 Japanese School boys 69 Japanese school girls ooc: I mean who makes the education of his civilains a priority in a war ? bought black powder from fire work makers, HE replaced by ammonium nitrate (often used along with dynamite very cheap) any more idears ?

Type 99 Tree Cannon This thing will be able to toss a special long fused Granade distances up to 700 meters. ooc: These are ment to be stacked arround 100 together hidden and then fired electricly by one or two guys. These are wastly inaccurate. These would be hidden so that nothing will stick out of the ground. The ammo is the granade and a tin can filled with powder so it lasts longer time. The Japanese people unite in building those and these are being shipped to location B29.

OOC: I'm not sure if the grenade launcher existed in WWI. Find out if it did or not. If it didn't then this would not be a viable weapon, if it did, then go for it. Just remember that as a hastily built improvised weapon it would be prone to failure.
