Ottoman's Plan New Divisions

[Ottoman Empire]

The Ottoman Empire has be filtering its Infantry Divsions for recuitment into a 3 new Sniper Divsions of 10,000 men each. These soldiers will also be specialised in Desert Warfare.

Having already shortlisted possible candidates, training of the final selection of Soldiers will commense over the next month (4RL days). The Soldiers will be equiped with modifyed Mosin Nagant rifles in production after a recent trade for production rights from new Ottoman ally Russia.

Production of Mosin Nagant rifles and Maxim MG's has started and is set to continue indefintley because of arming current and new divsions with the weapons.

Also construction of defences in key cities and locations in the Ottoman Empire such as Istanbul have commensed. This will include trenches and barbed wire to protect city limits. A voluntary national service may be set up to help protect the important areas of the Ottoman Empire with men over the age of 30. It is possible that they will be armed with weapons being replaced by new Russian ones.

The Sniper regiments are recruited, equiped and ready for deployment. The Desert Warfare specialist divsions are to be deployed at:

Greek-Ottoman Border (1 Div of 10,000 men)
Egypt-Ottoman Border (1 Div of 10,000 men)
Gallipoli (1 Div of 10,000 men.

In addition more men have volunteered to join the National Guard. This figure is still to be confirmed but all men have been equiped with old Ottoman weapons replaced on the front line.

The National Guard are mainly concentrated in the Larger cities like Istanbul but are all over the Empire. It is requested that the National Guard attend 2 weekly gatherings in their areas for training.

IC: A Guerilla defense network is being devised in the Ottoman Empire to prepare for the worst possible outcome. A stockpile of weapons and other resources will also could be stored in secret locations to supply Guerillas.
