After the amassing hostilities taking place in Africa, very close to our border, the Prime Minister has increased the military budget and the drafting of at least 40,000 more men is in the process, and he has ordered the production of more weapons, including rifles, to take place.
Louis Botha has made it clear that he will not let the country fall without a fight, and the country is supporting Great Britain as much as possible.

Great Britain of course will help the South Africans. We of course will supply the Africans with our modern rifles. We will also send over some British Military Officers to train them. They should be there within two weeks.

With the more British troops arriving shortly, and the increasing number of people signing up to fight for the country, 10,000 troops have been dispatched to the northwest border to ensure the defense against any posible German invasion.
Defenses at Port Nolloth have been stepped up, and a new military base is to be built there. Training schemes for current troops are now in force, to increase their skills to fight the enemy forces.

To whom it may concern,
The German forces want nothing but peace with the South Africans and will not harm a South African unless the Germans are provoked.

[Telegram] [To: German Government, Berlin] [From: Cape Town, South Africa]
To whom it may concern,
We take into account your wish for peace, and we too do not wish to go to war with you for no good reason. We are only stepping up our defenses due to the current status around our borders, and we are not forming an attacking position.
However, if any kind of hostile act is received from anyone, our country shall be defended. Our main concern is the well-being of our people and our land.
