NORTH ATLANTIC
As the Markgraf slowed down to a halt; the Captain was staring on the horrizen. The sight of Iceland was beautiful. This large green mass on the horrizen, it was wounderful to see land. He could also see the minesweepers out in the destance checking the waters for any boogers that might try and stop the invasion of Iceland.
Resistance was not expected; but always safe than sorry the Captain alwasy thought. He just hoped that he wouldn't have to use the big cannons mounted on this large Dreadnought and put craters all over the face of that beautiful land. He didn't worry too much though, German intelligence says there shouldn't be any substantial numbers of Danish military there anyway. That is, if there is any at all.
Military movement between Iceland and Denmark hadn't been observed for over a month now. Besides, if there were any Danes there, they wouldn't put up a fight because of the recent surrender of Denmark.
At first the Captain woundered why he was here, there really should only be a couple troopships docking German soldiers to make the annexation official. But then he was later informed by the Admiral that relations between the British and Germany hadn't been very freindly. After all, the German Empire is invading it's closest ally; France. British naval intervention was inniment. But they got to Iceland with no troubles what so ever.
That could mean bad things, or it could meen good things. All depends on your outlook on the situation. Either way, the Germans were taking this island.
"Captain, message from the Admiral, we're to wait untill we get word from the Danish; then we move in." Said Marco, one of his Lieutenants.
