Arms production not currently being used for Chinese forces begin to turn out machine guns in high number. They will be distributed to Lashkars, who will be trained in tactics that will allow them to use them most effectively.
Motorcycles being produced in China are being brought into Afghanistan. A trial of 'motorized dragoons', who use the motorcycle for transportation and fight on foot is begging. Training and reequipment should take several weeks.

The Emir looked over the troops gathered for a parade in Kabul. He took pride in the new army. He has turned them into a truly modern fighting force, and he hoped that when the time came that they would be seen as such. They still wore the old bright red, British Colonial uniforms, but that was because the soldiers loved them. Massive arms production had finally outfitted them with full modern weapons. Breeding programs using horses traded from Persia, imported from the Chinese steppes and bought from the best breeders in the world are begging to show promise of inreasing the calvary's effectiveness. Proper medical and signal corps have been established, and members for them are currently being recruited from the general populous. In additon trucks for troop transport are being phased in, to finish bringing the Afghan army up to modern standards.
OOC: The Uninforms of the Afghan Units are as follows (it's just a flavor thing, but hey): Afghan Regular Army: Red, Styled after British Colonial. Helmet optional Eastern Turkestan Regular Army: Drab Olive, Styled after British Designs of the 19th Century. Helmet Optional. Lashkars: None Khamir/South Vietnam Regulars: Blue, French Colonial w/ modern British style helmet Khamir Royal Guard: Olive, Modern Style with helmet
