[Telegram] [To: Congolian Leader] [From: Kaiser Wilhelm II; Berlin, Germany]
"To whom it may concern,
I, Kaiser Wilhelm II congradulates the Congo on their independence from Belgium. We were glad in liberating the Congolese from the dictating Belgians. However, we must drive into your country, to be sure of any remaining Belgians in your country. Please, do not be alarmed when seeing our forces enter the Congo. We are your liberators and just would like to help reinforce your nation while it repairs from the dictating period of the evil Belgians."
-----------
BERLIN, GERMANY
"So General, how should the Congo go?" Asked the Kaiser.
"Our inteligence confirms that the Congolese think of us as liberators, the ones that freed their country after years of dictation from the Belgians. So entering the capital shouldn't be hard, it's just when you declare leadership over the lands of the Congo is when things will be getting hairy. Although they might just take being ruled by their kind liberators than face many years of poverty and civil war. We'll just have to see about that." Said the General

KINSHASA
The General could finaly get to work. He had arived in Kinshasa along with a company of men. He left a rifle company to secure the harbor area, sent another to Belgian airfeilds and barracks to reinforce that, then another to get the rest of the division's equipment off of the ships. The last division is with him, which is now ariving in the capital of the Congo, Kinshasa.
As the troops walked down the streets of Kinshasa, they were met by cheering Congolians on the sides of the roads. They must have thought that we're they're liberaters. After all, the German Army did defeate the Belgians and freed the Congolian people. Even though the Kaiser didn't mean it to be that way. The assult regiment commander met him just outside the capital building.
"Sir, we've got word from the Belgian airfeilds and barracks, they've got some 524 Belgians hostage, they await their command." he said.
"Kill them all, then burn their remains. We will declare that they were missing in action." said the General coldly.
The Kaiser had wanted this war as peaceful as possible, but one General dissagreed. He thought that if just killing them, he wont face future problems in the Congo. Any Congolian witnessing the event would just think of it as an exicution for their crimes. After all, that is what the Kaiser said we are doing in the Congo, eliminating any remaining Belgian forces. But as soon as the General declares the Congo, German territory, things will be getting a little different here.
"Sir, we've arived at the capital building." Said one of his officers.
"Very well, I want 100 men storming it, 25 through the center, and the rest I want on the left and right flanks, I also want some going through the back door. Meet me when the objective has been secured. I want no casualties unless provoked. This is a very public area, I dont want a scare." Said the General, looking at the hundreds, prehaps thousands of celebrating Congolians in the streets. All proclaiming their independence from their Belgian occupiers. But that was to soon change.

BERLIN, GERMANY
"They have secured the Congo's capital my lord" Said one of the Kaiser's top advisors.
"Wounderful, any casualties?" asked the Kaiser.
"Reports say that 524 Belgians are missing in action. They believe they have ran off when word came in that the Germans were invading. And we also have 56 Belgian government officials and staff hostage. The General has also let the newly proclaimed Congolian president and his staff to take over the capital building...but it's all for show." he said.
"Good, it's going just as we planed. As long as the Congolians love us, the better. Tell the General that it is time for phaze two." said the Kaiser.
----------------
KINSHASA
The General was looking in his face in the rich meeting room located in the Capital building. He was looking at the newly proclaimed Congolian president to take over and rule his country.
"Very soon General, we will officialy declare independence from the Belgians." He said.
"Well see mr.president, that is what I wanted to talk to you about." He paused before continuing. "I'm afraid that, that cant happen." he said. The Congolian president just looked at him strangly. That sentance was the que for 10 German soldiers to enter the room. Two came over to the desk and aimed their rifles at his head.
"I will tell you what to do, Mr.President, you will print in the news papers that the Independence of the Congo has came to a halt. The reason being is that if there is no real power in charge, the Congo will erupt into civil warfare, and prehaps total anarchy. You dont want that now do you Mr.President?" Said the General
"No....sir, I dont sir." Said the Congolian. Just a simple congolian, not a president, not anyone of importance. Just a simple soldier in this game of war. -----
Before any word has been sent that the Congo will be German territory, the Congolian President has ordered that the rifles given to the Conglians were quote, "out-dated" and were to be replace with newer, better German rifles. The Congolians were striped of their weapons, and were not given the German rifles as they were told they were going to have. They were told they would get them in a few days, but about a week has passed and the Congolians were getting suspicous. But their curiousity was cured when word came through that the Germans were taking over. A giant mood change in the lands of the German Congo.

[Telegram] [From: London, England] [To: British South African Command]
Concern has been expressed of the Congo. Recent increase in German activities are becoming alarming. We must not have a German take over of the Congo. But we must prevent it without having to go to war what with the tensions between Britain and Germany. We ask that you send agent into Congo to incite a rebellion. The fact that the Congolese are unarmed is a concern so we ask that you discreetly sneak in our Lee Enfield Rifles into the country. We must not let the Congo become another part of the German Empire!
-------------------------------
Northern Rodessa (Near the Congolese Border) A Medium sized white man in a white cloak is standing talking with a British officer. The refer to the man as T.E. Lawerence.
"This is a problem sneaking 5000 Lee Enfield rifles into the Congo. I would think that we could sneak them in on camels but Using the much manpower would be impossible to conceal" stated T.E. Lawrence. "Well maybe instead We should send it in a couple at a time" Replied the Officer. "Well It will do we'll send in a limited amount at a time. Good thing the Congolese border isn't entirely secured by the Germans." Sighed Lawrence "Well sir along with the rifles we are sending with you 10 highly trained Soldiers. And command wants you to help any Belgian Fighters in the country." "Well most of them , according to reports are dead. So I doubt I'll have much to work with."chuckled Lawrence "Well I guess you should be going sir. I will have 400 rifles sent with you now and i'll keep sending 400 til all 5000 thousand have made it." said the Officer "Well thn I'm off" Said LAwrence moving his camel towards the Congo with the 10 soldiers on there's and 400 Rifles with them.

GERMAN CONGO-BRITISH N. RHODEISA BORDER
There was very little traffic, Gunter noticed. He was helping two other of his comrades run a checkpoint on one of the major roads between the Congo and Northern Rhodeisa. He had only seen a couple of civilian travelers pass through here in the last few days. He had been reading a news paper when he saw a man dressed in a white cloak with a camel passing the border. Gunter got up, slinged his rifle around his sholder and approched the man.
"Good evening sir, we need to know who you are and, do you have your pass?" Gunter said, staring at the man. The man was white, he could see. But didn't nessisarily know of what origin unless he spoke.

Lawrence qucikly thought to himself then replied in his such an unexaggerated English that he almost sounded American.
"We are travelling Merchants. We had set up a route into the Congo and we would go ever year. We had hoped you would let us continue to do so." He had made sure not to let the man see his eyes. " We have brought nothing more than simple Spices with us, and would thank you if we could be let on our way"

GERMAN CONGO-BRITISH N. RHODEISA BORDER
The German Soldier looked at the man. At first he had the destinct fealing this man was British, he looked somewhat European. But those thoughts erased his mind when the Western accent came out of his mouth.
"Oh! Americans! Tell me, what are.." He paused for a moment as he leaned over to his right looking at his followers.. "..ten Americans doing in British owned territory?" The German Soldier looked at the man with curiousity. After all, the Americans just invaded and annexed Canada. The British would be outraged and wouldn't allow many American travelers rome about in British territory. What business do American Merchants have in British territory? None he could think of. Could they be fleeing? Could they have been banned from the British colonies and are heading to German occupied Congo for safe haven? All of these are possiblities but of coarse, if that were the case the Americans would have just openly said that. It was no doubt in Gunter's mind that the American's here were lying to them. But why? He questions himself.
The other two gaurds come over to gunter. They started their conversation in German, the man standing there looked confused as he didn't know German.
"They say they're merchants. They say they bring spices." Gunter said to the other two soldiers.
"What are American Merchants doing in Africa?" questioned one of the German Soldiers.
"That's what I'm woundering. I havn't seen anything like this yet. Curious indeed. I shall continue to question him, you two take a peek at their stuff." Said Gunter as the two other German soldiers walk over to the horse.
"It is alright if we take a peek isn't it? Just security reasons. Said Gunter in English turning to the man.

Lawrence laughs inside his mind then replies “ Yes true the British scorn the Americans for their invasion for Canada. In fact some Americans were against it. I protested the Invasion but the American government wouldn’t not have that so I fled to Mexico in fear. While there a British Company hired me, but they were suspicious of my American background but when I mentioned I was one of those who protested the Invasion of Canada their suspicions died down. Anyway,” He moves to block the German guard from their cargo, while one of the soldiers starts looking to the East “ there is no reason to invest-“ He is cut short as everyone looks east. As coming from the east a band of Bandits armed with what appeared to be imitation Lee Enfields coming fast on horse.

GERMAN CONGO-BRITISH N. RHODEISA BORDER
The two soldiers stop in their tracks. They look to their east and see some riders with rifles heading toward them. The two soldiers take their emediate reaction to the oncoming threat and take aim with their rifles. As the two soldiers are firing off their shots at the oncoming riders, Gunter takes the merchant and uses him as cover as he shoots at the riders.

The Bandits realize they're being fired upon and notice they sightly outnumber the Germans. They picked up their rifles and shoot back, but oddly enough not at the Merchant being used for cover. The began taking pot shots at the German by the truck.
Lawrence upon being used for cover stayed perfectly still he had an idea to get out just not right now where his risk of being shot was so great.
As accodring to plan 5 of the soldier that came with Lawrence where to go on ahead with the rifles and Ammunition. The other 5 stayed around pretending like the Bandits were actually and taking shots at them. They were poor shots but they were'nt trying to kill them or even injure them.

Lawrence upon being used for cover pull out his revolver and bring it up behind him to shoot the German soldier using him as a human shield in the close enough to the heart that it shold be fatal. Then he fell to make it seem he was shot as well as to not bring about suscpision that he shot him. OOC: umm, it's bad enough that a bunch of bandits came out of no where, but I have your "Lawrence" guy in a hostage like situation. I would have a good grasp on him and he wouldn't be able to shoot the German Soldier so easily without getting shot himself. You see, Lawrence is facing the bandits, not the soldier. So he would have to turn around, pull out his pistol and then somehow shoot my soldier with my soldier conveniently not reacting to his sudden attempt to break free and reach for his pistol. I'd like you to fix that section of your post, as it evidently was a godmode, as you did kind of decided the fate of my own character.

GERMAN CONGO-BRITISH N. RHODEISA BORDER
The two soldiers that are kneeling down; take their shots one by one. They knew they were out numbered, but they also got clear, good shots at the oncoming riders. As the riders were mounted on horse and wasn't able to aim as good. Despite the advantages in aiming, one soldier was shot in his sholder. But that didn't stop him from firing back. Every second he kneels there shooting, he feels the an immense sharp pain in his sholder; altering his advantage in aiming.
OOC: You didn't post casualties.

Ooc: sorry forgot.
The Bandits fire widly as one is shot in the stomach and falls of his horse. He contiunes to fire while on the gorund determined to double the pain inflicted on him onto his killer.
The other Bandits do not see their fallen comarde and contiune their rush towards the Germans. Two are shot in the leg but attempt to ignore it. They split up making it harder for stray shots to hit.
Meanwhile the other 5 British troops make off on their camels away from the fight itself, leaving Lawrence with the German holding him .
Casualties 1 badly Injured Bandit 2 Bandits shot in the leg.

OOC: Come on buddy, realistic casualties, realistic.
IC: Gunter liked the German Mauser. Even though it's five-cartridge magazine limited rapid fire, it is a thoroughly dependable, well tested and accurate weapon, and with its fitted optical sight, ideal for use in sniping. It had a somewhat superior in design to the majority of its contemporaries, it incorporated the clip and magazine into a single detachable mechanism, saving valuable loading time.
But the injured German soldier was only able to get off 5 shots before he was struck in the chest. He was shot dead. The other German soldier looked over at his comrade laying there in a pool of blood, and he had a sudden dysphoric sense of loss, mixed with an overwhelming sense of anger. He yelled with anger as he shot at the apperently British soldiers. After 5 shots had taken place he quickly reached for a magazine, in doing so his leg had been shot. As the riders are close enough for pistol range; Gunter drops his rifle in an effort to hold the merchant with him. He got out his side arm; a Luger pistol and began to shoot at the on coming riders.
The German soldier screams in pain as he reloads his rifle and begans to take shots at the riders again.
