OOC: You're correct, I missed that. My bad.
IC: The artillery continues the back and forth with Ottoman guns. The counter charge continues, covered by sniper fire and grenades they manage to reach the Ottoman forces before they can fully deploy in the remains of the captured section of the Norweigian trenchworks.
Losses: 12 Artillery Pieces, 300 Civilians, 500 Regular Infantry
Oslo
Remaining Artillery: 75 field guns and howitzers
The infantry continues to with their grenades and fire, though an unneccessary amount is wasted on the tanks the officers manage to maintain enough control over the troops to keep them an effective defense. Artillery continues it's bombardment on the tanks until they get too close and then open up again with the scatter shot. Medieval trebuchets launch large rocks, flaming debris and twisted chunks of metal at the Swedish infantry. Troops fix bayoneetes, civilian troops grab shotguns and pistols, all forces prepare for close combat. The Greek planes manage to damage some of the cities industry, though it mostly just destroys soft, non-military targets and causes massive civilian deaths.
Remaining Artillery: 75 field guns and howitzers Losses: 750 Infantry, 6 trebuchet's
Oslo Bay Some of the forts suffer casualities from Greek air raids, though most miss in the darkness of the night. Destroyers, mixed with civilian vessels, are sent after the fleeing fleet, staying at long range, and stopping once they have reached out far enough to secure the mouth of the bay.
Losses: 1 Destroyer, 5 civilian vessles
Greek Supply Train
Total Forces Sent: 9,800 Regular troops, 5,000 Elite mountain troops
The rapid force that attacked Ottoman supply positions attack the Greek supply line while it slogs through the mud of the spring thaw at a mountain pass while it is at it's weakest. The regular troops attack from behind cover, targeting the guards and providing screen for the elite forces movement. The elite forces move up fast. They bring machine gun fire down on the trucks, particularly the fuel transports, and follows it up with grenades, in a suprisingly precise and well organized attack.

The trucks are hit hard very fast. The men fly in the air as the trucks explode one by one. Parts and metal fly through the air and hit more Greek men. Fire rages all around spreading to nearby brush and the guards scramable to shoot back. Men get hit by machinegun fire and there is little hope for survival. The ones that are still alive fight with rifle and knife. Some of the guards with a machinegun try to return fire but get hit when they try to reload.
Casulaties: 700

U 139
"That's a hit! Good job men." Said Captain looking through his periscope.
He looked at the giant dreadnought, still floating at this moment, but up in flames. It would probably be sinking any time soon. He knows how hellish a fire is in the middle of water. The survivors would probably abandon ship, to be later rescued. He viewed various cruisers and destroyers get destroyed by large plooms of orange fire and black smoke. A lot men would die today the Captain knew. He also knew all, to most of them would be Ottoman and Sweden. Mainly because they dont have any submarines to counter the German U-boats. If the did have anti-submarine technology, then they would be too shaken, and surprised to get anything going instantly.
"Down scope." Said the Skipper.
"Left ten degrees rudder, 12 knots." Said the Captain instantly.
He then felt the submarine exelerate, turning left slightly.
"Ok, slow her down....up scope"
The Captain viewed the new view of the battle now as they moved in. He spotted a new target.
"Are the torps loaded?" Asked the Captian turning to his weapons officer.
"loaded and ready to go skipper." He replied
"Very well, fire."
***
U-139, along with the rest of the submarines aquired targets and fired at them. The subs that missed their original targets move in, but dont aquire new targets. They fire at their original target again.
OOC: I would really like mabey a list or something of all the ships you have at the bay now. I dont really remember actually seeing a definet number of ships there, posted.

Greek Supply Line
The elite mountain troops unleash a last quick burst at the remaining trucks and drivers and begins to fall back, firing. As soon as the elite troops have come back to heavy cover the whole force begins an organized withdraw.
Losses: 100 Regular Troops, 35 Elite

The Greeks pile behind some of the hit veicles and use them for cover as they keep firing at the Norwegions. The Greeks catapult TNT in to the Norwegion lines too. This was a fight for survival now. 50 more men lay dead or wounded. The calvary sit on a high mountain and watch in terror as they see the flaming trucks. Several men disobey orders and start down to see if they can rescue the men.
Remaining troops 250 men 3 Trucks
After the Norwegions withdraw. The calvary sweeps down in to the pass. What they find is horrific. The Survivors have peiced togeather 3 trucks and loaded it with supplies. The calvary loads the last of the salvagable supplies on their horses and some of the guards carry it on their backs. 20 Greek infentry troops are sent down with mules to reveiw the damages. Also to gather any supplies remaining around. A lot of supplies still lay around from the trucks. Easy picckings for scavangers.
Remaning Supplies from convoy on trucks and horses 15 gallons of Gasoline 1,200 Rifles 4 pounds of TNT 10 Artillary shells 900,000 rounds of rifle ammo 30 Gernades

That's it this was an bad. I am pissed off. I am pulling 25,000 troops from Greece and Serbia to put in to Norway. Along with 20 more fighters. They will arrive in the Greek controlled city in 3 weeks. While they are there they will help secure the city and do patrols up in the mountians.
I will use my 60 planes in Sweden and bomb randomly around the pass for the next week. They will try to get lucky and try to lower some of the trees in the area. With a little luck they might but it will also make the pass less attackable in the future.
In the city, the calvary is sent out again to the pass to pick up some of the supplies before the first air attacks begain.
Supply trucks that finally arrive from Russia and Ottoman regroup in Sweded and wait till they have a cahnce to go in three weeks. This totals some 25 trucks.
The troops in The Greek controlled city will raid local gunstores to get needed ammunition and keep guns away from the locals. These will be scattered around in the diffrent supply shops.
The builders are using enamy POWs to speed up the building of the structures. I will post again when they are finished.

The sheer amount of explosives on the pass causes minor rockslides/avalanches as well as raising large craters in the narrowest parts of the past. Not also does he deny it as an attack point to the Norweigians, he denies it as a transport point for Greece, doing what the Norweigians could never hope to do. Cut off the Greek/Ottoman forces from support. OOC: Dude, that was stupid.

The Greeks look down at the pass. It was gone, blown to hell. Almost realisticly. Craters filled the land and landslides had filled in more. It would take months to fix it. Peices of remaining trucks could bearly be seen under the dirt. Calvary made little progress and could only reach the closest trucks. They where buried all the rest of the supplies was gone buried under the dirt. They where able to partly dig out 1 of the trucks and could get inside and start it up. With 5 horses pulling and the engine going they wedged boards under the wheels and it was free. The rest that where not tuched had wheels and stuff pulled off so they could not be used by the enamy. These would be syuck in other supply piles.
"There are smaller passes" A scout begains as he looks over the map. He draws several lines, here, here and here. These can hold horses and mules and that's about it. There are also other large passes here but that does not lead to sweden.
Several of the planes drop low over the passes to scout them out. They where good enough to get supplies through they thougt. Even if they where hazardious.
A technique was soon stuck on the drawing board as well. They could pull 15 thousand men through one of the passes if they marched in a colum 4 wide. Spread out in some form of scattered formation. Planes would fly in groups of 10 over the area as they moved so they could see enamies and fire their machineguns at them. That would alert the troops incase somthing was to attack.
Several groups of Norway POWs have been sent to dig. They are 20 in number and are gaurded by about 10 Greek soldiers.

OCC: No one has posted today so I will go ahead
Collapsed Pass:
Several (3) fiats arrive at the pass and try to use there treads to move over the debre to compact it. They move over some of the trucks in doing so and the trucks collapse like tin cans. Most of the dirt does not compact down at all. After this happens several infentry men rig TNT to some of the trucks they can get to. They light them off and run for cover as they blow them up.
Smaller Passes:
Several men scout them out and find that only two are usable for sending troops down. They set up trip wires around these places to keep Norwegions out. These are not hooked to gernades or any explosive devices.
City:
The first Fuel Depot is in working order, It has storage tanks that hold about 15 gallons that are 6 inches thick. They are filled from the trucks. That is from the gas tanks of the trucks. The trucks are then pulled apart somewhat and used in the fortification of the city. Peices of debre are used to build a wall around the city. Punji like sticks are placed in 3 rows exactly 50 yards from the city. Barbwire is placed 20 yards behind that.
Here's the fortification set up
The side of the city closest to the passes are the best fortified. An old 3 foot stone wall 20 feet long 1 foot think and 3 feet high are the bass of the forifications. To the left is a 40 foot long pickett fence. The fence had several cross peices and diagnal peices added to it to strangthen it. The wall had peices of trees 4 feet high driven down infront of it. To the right was a dranage ditch that has a makeshift 2 foot high wall built infront of it. A stone shed was placed on the wall shortly before the war which made an ideal machinegun post.
The sides are defended by rows of wooden buildings and roadblocks. Infront of the Buildings the trucks are set and debre has been put togather to form a wall. Most of it was cut trees cut into sections and put in to place.
The far side from the pass was another row of wooden buildings and road blocks this thou had several stonewalls 4 foot high placed by greek troops. It's not finished yet.

OOC: What the hell is Greece up 2 with bombing the pass???
Kristiandsand
The Norwegian counter attack was seen in the distance. The MG's were already set up and the Swedish manned them. They weren't going to to lose this postion whatever the Norwegians through at them. Riflemen were set up in firing lines along side the Machine Guns to repel and flank attacks and add to the firepower. The Norwegian Snipers and Grenades had done damage to the Swedish but failed to dent their morale. The Norwegians ran closer and the whistle blew the MG's and thousands of rifles sent hails of bullets towards the doomed Norwegians.
Ships are again ordered to shell the Norwegian artillery postions then await new orders.
Casualties: 350 Men
Oslo
The sounds of bullets rekoshading off the Mark 1 Tanks fills the battlefield. They roll onwards continuely firing opon the MG's. A handful reach the MG postions and simply attempt to litterally overrun them. With fire opon the Tank unsurprisily the Infantry attempt to take the trenches. The thousands of able troops now passed the barbed wire defences opon fire opon the Norwegians and charge towards them bayonets ready to seek Norwegian Flesh. Artillery is ordered to continue shelling the Norwegian artillery.
Casualties: 700 Men and 1 Armored Car.
Oslo Bay
The battle in the Bay would be a hopeless one it seemed. The Swedish Navy solid as it was really had no submarine assets to combat the German attack the ships had already given up the cause and had begun to withdraw to regroup. It was hoped that they could get Russian, Portugese or Greek reinforcements in this Naval battle. With torpedos and shelling being less effective opon them now they werent static less losses were expected.
Losses: 4 Destroyers, 3 Cruisers.
OOC: I can't get hold of a list of ships right now not enough time I think Sweden posted his ships for me on this thread will need updating though...

The fighting is fierce. Norwiegian forces are pushed back from the trench and they're formations broken. They spread out, taking positions in bombed out craters, the husks of buildings and what ever other cover they can find. They continue to fire from their new found positions.
Losses: 500 Infantry, 5 Artillery pieces
Oslo
They throw grenades, continue to launch attacks with the medieval style trebuchets and otherwise stop the Ottoman advance. Seeing that it is futile they fix bayonettes, grab up every available weapon and hold the line against the incoming Ottomans. The remaining artillery comes down hard on the tanks, hoping to stop the juggernauts before they can do anymore damage.
Losses: 750 Infantry, 200 Civilians, 150 Calvary

Sweden:
25,000 Greek troops finally arrive in Sweden. They are given orders to use one of the smaller passes. The airforce will start recon patrols so that their are 3 planes moving around to locate enamies heading toward the greeks.
The troops will move with 15,000 going through the pass. The 25 trucks and 20 fiats will be with them and they will be in a scattered formation. Armored cars will stay back with the remaining 10,000 troops.
6,000 Calvary will sweep the pass before the troops enter.

The Ottomans took cover from the Norwegian rifle fire. Maxim MG's were fired to suppress the Norwegians. Rifles were also fired opon them but irregulary. Artillery was called in along with the Ottoman and Swedish naval assets to bombard the Norwegian's in hiding.
Casualties: 80 Men
Oslo
The Ottoman Infantry charged into close quarters with the Norwegians. The Infantry opened fire into them. The Mark 1 Tanks roll of the MG postions and fire opon the men the trenches as bullets bounce off the armor. Quite confident that the Norwegians wouldn't shell there own trenches and possibliy be defeated and lose the capital over Tanks.
Casualties: 200 Men

OOC: How did you only have 2 ships sink? It should be a lot more than that. That's another reason why I need a list of your ships; so I know weither or not your casualties are crap. I'll wait untill we can talk about those casualties before I post in Oslo.
OOC: Well I'll need it sometime soon.

KRISTIANSAND
Baumer was quickly trained in usuing the new sonar system installed in some U-boats. It was recently purchased from the United States to be used in the war. The sonar system was designed and built in the United States by Canadian Reginald Fessenden in 1914. The Kaiser was interested and made a deal with the United States. Now roughly 4 U-boats have the new system, with more being installed. The Fessenden sonar was an electromagnetic moving-coil oscillator that emitted a low-frequency noise and then switched to a receiver to listen for echoes. It was invented to detect icebergs. It can detect an iceberg (or submarine, depending on the situation) underwater from 2 miles away, and get a pretty acurate bearing.
He switched to the receiver to see if the enemy has any submarines. "I'm not getting anything on the sonar, Captain." He said. The Captain walked over to Baumer. "So are we clear?" "We should be. I'm not receiving anything, looks like we're going to have an easy battle against some surface ships." Said Baumer. "I'm sure we all hope for that outcome. As long as we keep the element of surprise, and go as planned, we should be able to defeat the enemy." Said the Captain. As he walked over to the scope. He turned to his XO; "What's our current speed?" He asked. "Current speed; 7 knots." Replied the XO. "Take her up to periscope depth, I wanna' look at these Swedes." He said.
The Submarine began to rise to the surface of the ocean, along with 10 other submarines; they stood a good chance of pulling this assult off.
"Go ahead and slow her down to 0 knots. I repeat; put on the breaks." Ordered the Captain. "---up scope" Said the Captain. The scope rises above the surface of the water, and the Captain stares as he studies the surface ships sitting there. He identified a positive Swedish Destroyer, or at least he's pretty sure. What ever it was, it was Swedish, and it was naval. He confirmed it as his target. "Torps loaded and ready, Skipper." Said his weapons officer. "Very well, we have a positive Swedish target, possible Destroyer, fire two torps as him in---" He paused as he checked his watch "--2 minutes." After all; it was a planed attack on the German side, they wanted to keep the element of surprise and the submarines will pick their targets and fire all at once. "Ok, time's up. Fire"
***
Just then, the 10 Submarines fired off 2 torpedoes each at their targets.
